Pacific Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) and its partner have been awarded a prestigious ARPA-E SBIR/STTR Grant
Pacific Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) is proud to announce that it has been awarded a SBIR/STTR grant from the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) under the Exploratory Topic CREATE—Creating Revolutionary Energy and Technology Endeavors. This significant grant of $500,000 will support PIDC and its partner, Johns Hopkins University – Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL), over the course of one year to develop a novel, low-cost, and highly selective synthetic pathway to produce methane and other fuels from carbon dioxide (CO2) at room temperature.
PIDC’s research and development initiative strongly aligns with ARPA-E’s mission to reduce energy-related emissions, enhance energy efficiency, and potentially reduce U.S. dependence on foreign energy sources.
